Characteristics: |
Elongate bodies, caninie-like teeth in a
large mouth, head is unscaled. Colors range from gray
to black to brown to green to blue. Spots are usually
yellow or orange to dark orange. Forked caudal fin.

Gulf of Alaska to Baja California.

Can grow up to 5 ft in length with weights
to 70 lbs. Voracious predator.

While
the flesh may be sometimes a greenish color, this
